A/T oil light

so over the weekend.. the light blinked on and then it went off.

I then checked the coolant tank and added some water to it.. also looked at the transmission dip stick and is still red..

my question is,

is the radiator on its way? since is close to 300k on the stock radiator...

if so,

oem or koyo radiator?

should I also go ahead and change the thermostat, trans filter, gasket and the fluids?

also.. the CEL came on and I pulled the code.. it was po770.. the car is shifting fine but when I get the 67 mph, the rpm is a little higher than normal.. is around 2200-2300 rpm compare to 2000 rpm..

the code is for the shifter solenoid, could that be because the atf is dirty or something?

thanks.

That is what i would try first

I would have the fluid flushed entirely and replaced. Hopefully that will either unstick the solenoid valve among other things. It has helped many folks, so give it a shot. If not, follow the diagnostic procedures (drop pan, remove SL and check, then valve body then electrical connections). Luck!

Solenoid is failing most likely electronically.

They make a kit to replace all three at the same time. You might as well do such, then replace the filter. Fel Pro I believe makes a gasket to go between the pan and the tranny housing, which may be easier to mess with then FIPG.
