A750F not shifting in to O/D

2005 V6 sport 4x4. Doesn't seem to be shifting into o/d or if it is, the RPMs are not dropping. Going down the interstate, at 70 mph its turning 2000-2100 rpm where it should be 16-1700ish i believe. i had the trans flushed and filter changed 2 weeks ago at the stealership hoping to alleviate the problem but no luck. any suggestions or ideas or probable causes would be appreciated!

Did you put it in 4 and see if it makes any difference? Granted I have a V8 4Runner and I know the gear ratio in the rear end is a little different but my truck turns about 2000-2100 rpm at 70 mph

I have the V6 and a little over 2k RPM at 70 is normal. I think that mine is the 4 speed and your is the 5 but I don't believe that there is any significant difference in the overdrive gear ratio. The extra gear is down low if I remember right.

Nothing wrong. Both our v6's sit right around 2k in overdrive at 70mph. It's normal. Drive and enjoy it.

i appreciate the input guys. i just got back from driving it and there was a difference in rpm between 4 and D. so o/d is working. i just figured the rpm should be a little lower at highway speeds. the reason i suspected this was at highway speed, it feels as if its pushing against a wall. thats the best way i can describe it. there may be something in the front end causing this now that the trans is ruled out. ill have to do some more looking

I think all 05+ have 3.73 differential gears.

Ya, now that you mention it, I think you are right. The 03-04's had different rear end ratios between the V6 and V8 if I recall correctly
