So I'm wondering if the way my transmission acts is normal:
2004 V8 w/full time 4WD, sealed transmission
When I press the accelerator about halfway to speed up, sometimes it feels like it is shifting 2-3 gears to find the right gear - I've noticed this in the past 50k+ miles, I'm nearing 150k miles. In general, when I step on the gas, it takes a moment to figure out what to do or switches gears. The shifting occurs more often after it is at operating temp. I recently did a full flush of the ATF with Valvoline ATF MaxLife which made the tranny smoother, but it still has that erratic shifting.
Is this normal for the A750F? Or is there a way to prevent the tranny from shifting so much?
