About to buy...

The first thing I noticed that it needs is the air filter on the K&N air intake needs cleaning bad. It has right at 50k miles on it, these things are normally like pink or purple but it is just dirty. A good inside cleaning and the rear drivers side window...rain shield or whatever is broken a bit.

Other than a few little things it has had all maintenence done recently and should be good for a while.

He said he used autolite dual ground spark plugs and put them in a few K miles ago, those any good?

Hi Maxil

I don't know about the quality of those in particular but I think you'll find most here prefer Denso or NGK, which is generally half-n-half on stock.

Do a thread search, you'll see the difference in wear between them.

If it feels like its running okay to you, though, Im not sure I'd care...for now

It won't be on top of my to-do list, but after a year or so I will probably replace them with some good NGK's or Denso's.

If your air filter is that dirty, you're going to want to take out your MAF and give it a good cleaning, or you'll be looking at a P0171 code pretty soon.

I think I hear it whispering something about black fender flares?

Looking at some others, I admit they would look nice. However, yesterday when my boss found out mine looks almost identicle to hers, she said I could have it when it dies, which won't be all too long. It is a 97' limited same color. I figure I can salvage a lot of parts including some of the trim items and fender flares and whatnot. Her 97' has 245K miles but the tranny is going bad fast, looks good except somebody hit the rear and dented the bumper and rear door a bit.

I have a lot of wood trim in mine but I think that limited has some extras I may want when it dies.
