About to pull the trigger (Tire Rim Question)Please HELP!

Hello all, I have been going back and forth on tire rim combination. I have finally made my mind up and want to know what you guys think. I'm thinking Ultra Gauntlet 17x9 and Duratracs 265/70/17

Rim Specs from Tire Rack
Size: 17x9
Offset: 12mm
Backspacing: 5.43"
Bolt Pattern:
Rec. Tire Size: 265/65-17

My truck is stock height right now. It's a 2004 sport V6 Black Is this offset to much?

The recommended size is a little different. Will 265/70/17 fit this rim? Some of the threads suggest it will have the stretched look. What exactly is the "Stretched" look, any pictures?

I'm confused guys and want to make the right decision. I want a more aggressive look to the Truck. Buying tires is freaking difficult I just want to get it right the first time..

I'm fine with trimming or removing the mud flaps. That should be all that I need to do to fit this combo right?

The 265/70-17 will have a taller sidewall. 70 stands for 70% of 265. This tire is basically a 32" x 10.5" tire and the 265/65-17 is 31" x 10.5". If you are using stock wheels you may not need to do any trimming. But if you change your wheels or add spacers you will need to move the front wheel well fender and trim the front bumper a bit. Check out J.A.'s website on how to do this as he also chose to use 265/70-17. Also, you will have about a 3.5% speed, MPG and odometer error due to the larger circumference - no biggy, whatever speed you're going or distance you've gone add another 3.5% to it.

Well that makes sense for sure. Thanks for clearing that up for me. The rims I was looking at are on a 6 week back order. Guess I have more time to research.
