abs and brake light

So I just replaced my rear wheel bearings and seals today with all new OEM and timken parts. Before disassembly my abs light came on I'm assuming because all the metal shavings that collected on it, during disassembly I found that a ball bearing had made its way onto the tone ring and messed the sensor and ring up. I didn't want to splurge for the extra $$ parts and I hate my trucks abs system anyways.
So I put everything back to specs and crossed my fingers cleaning all the shavings off would have fixed it but alas it did not. What did happen was my brake light is now stuck on. At first I thought it was because I forgot to to the fluids off after I bleed the system, but that was not the case. I then and inspected the ebrake lever switch and all was good there.
So I'm stumped and irritated by the truck does anyone have any ideas as to why it is like this now?
Also if I pull the main abs fuse will it kill the light or do I need to pull the bulb out?
