Hi, I have a 2008 toyota 4-runner sr5 v6 4x4. My abs booster pump is making a noise but any local mechanics have no knowldge of every replacing it . I was given a price of $2500.00 for the part and approx $500.00 lab. I don,t want to jump into this repair until I know if anyone else has replaced this part and maybe where they had it repaired. I have called one toyota dealer in the USA and got a quote of $1500.00 for part plus lab and if this part is required they will deduct diagnostic fee from price of part. That sounds steep. I replaced my brake booster in my 3rd gen in about 30 minutes. I think I gave $80 for the actual brake booster from Eastern Imports. Never had any issues with it after that. Very easy to do.
