A noisy compressor could be caused by the clutch being worn out and its slipping and having metal to metal contact. You also need to check the psi in the system with it off then see what its at when the compressor turns on. The compressor can also lock up, If it does it will take your belt out and the belt may take other things out when it breaks. you need a set of a/c gauges to check the psi and go from there based on the readings you get.
