Its been a while since I've been on here, but I've owned my 2005 SR5 for over 10 years now. It has been serving me primarily as a winter vehicle and large item hauler, so usage has been very limited over the last 2 to 3 years.
She's been there for me when I've needed her, but this summer the AC isn't working. When AC is selected, the light turns on and stays steady (no blinking). Upon initial inspection, the compressor clutch wasn't kicking on. I confirmed that it rotated freely, with the engine off. I then pulled the relay and shorted the terminals, which engaged the compressor clutch. I tested the relay and confirmed that the relay works. I then re-installed the relay and the compressor now engages when the AC is turned on. However, I still get warm air out of the vents. The blend door seems to work as I get very hot air when I turn up the temp and just warm air when I set the temp to Lo. I confirmed that the system does have pressure (quick push on the low side valve) but don't have gauges to measure pressure. The site-glass does show flow when the compressor is running. Any ideas what to check next?
