Hey there guys, brand new member here. Just sold my tundra and bought an 04 4runner. Needs some work... first problem is the infamous flashing ac light. Ive been reading here on the forum all night... ac kicks on, then off and light flashed. Bought a new relay and even tried using the fog relay, didnt help. Also the freon pressure is full. Any other suggestions?

Hey there OP,

Assuming the freon is full, as you mentioned the compressor cycles ON, then disengages. Check the wiring for the "lock sensor" on the compressor. It should be two wires going INTO the compressor.

Well after looking at all the wires and repairing a ground, ive determined the clutch ISNT engaging at all. Although it sounds like it (engine sounds like it goes under load for a second), it doesnt seem to be engaging... guess ill be looking towards a new condenser? Or is there a fuse or something...?

Ill also add, the low pressure side was 100! I look it down to around 40.. clutch still wont engage and light flashes...
