AC Recharging

Wisconsin (finally) made it legal to buy AC Refrigerant, and I was wondering if anyone has any experience with the DIY conversion kits sold for converting from R12 to R134a. I was thinking about buying a kit my store sells with the valves, oil that says it can mix with R12 and R134, and some refrigerant.

You can recharge the stock system (r12) with r134, but the r134 AFAIK runs at a different pressure than the r12 and also lacks the 'oils'. My old neighbour owns one of the more reputable ac places in town and Im about due for a recharge. They have r12, but its been so long I've lost the invoice for recharge. I wanna say it was $75/lb but I can't say for sure...
If you have an r12 system it will undoubtedly cool better and last longer if you use r12....
Either way, STAY COOL
