Access To Master Window Control panel Switch

Just ordered a used switch; meantime, attempting to get to the switch by removing 2 access plugs and screws that secure the armrest/control switch to the door panel but stopped in mid-stream, thought it best to ask ask for advice as to whether this the best way to go about it. My experience with replacing the radio antenna as an example, found did not require disassembly the motor??

Thanks anyway, rather than remove the armrest decided to try prying the switch from its housing; walla; fortunately, did not complete the removal of the armrest.

Info Purposes: Ordered used master window switch; meantime, disassembled the original and reconditioned, now I have a spare. For those who have dealt with the master window switch as a first timer 'do it myselfer' found it all came down to figuring out how to deal with the 'window lock' mechanism during the reassembly. Took me approx. 1 1/2 hour to reassemble the 1st time, had to repeat, around the 3rd attempt took approx. 5 min's. "Remove the button from the window lock arm so the toggle mechanism remains in it's housing". Anyhow, food for thought!

Did that fix it? Did the new one work?
What has everyone else done with a problem in the window control switch?

The replacement master control switch works great; disassembled the original and carefully cleaned contacts, mini-springs, toggle levers, then reassemble, now have a spare. On couple occasions the driver's window switch hung-up, found the issue had to do more with glass alignment so I grab the glass by the top edge and lifted slightly and all is well? Intend removing door panel and inspect for loose connections, so far, 99.9 % works great.
