Accident Replacement Taillights: Japan or Newer Year?

I need some quick help because the body shop already has my black Toyota of japan taillights on order and I'm wondering if you all think I should try to get them to switch me to a newer year taillight that have led. I have a 2003 4th gen. Been away from T4R for a while so need all your help on the latest opinions on 4th gen taillights.

Can someone tell me if the wire harness connector for the 2007 led talilights will mate with my 2003? Sorry if this info is well known or redibly searchable.

If you can, go with the '06 OEM LED tails. You'll lov'em.
