Add a leaf question

I'm putting the add-a-leaf on from my toytec 2" lift. The car is an 86 sr5 22re, with stock springs. From everything I read it says put the leaves in order from largest (top) to smallest (bottom), with the overload spring at the bottom. However it appears that my add a leaf is actually shorter than the over load spring. It this a problem? The directions from toytec are generic for all trucks so it doesn't say anything specific to my vehicle. I too some pictures of the leaf pack with the spring in it but I haven't bolted it yet.

That's how mine are. On top of the overload. Definitely don't put in under the overload as it will wipe out any lift.

Got the add a leafs in and I am very happy with it. The guy I bought it from had put blocks under the saggy leaf springs and there was only like 2.5" between the bump stops!!! Plus it didnt ride all that great.

With the new leafs I got rid of the blocks (and the horrible axle wrap they caused), and I got what looks like 5" between bump stops! Not exactly long travel but way better

Also, how the hell do you guys jack the rear from the frame?!?!?! (assuming you dont have a four point lift) I tried putting a jack stand on cinder blocks (very, very bad idea). And when that didn't work, I had to resort to more drastic measures....

Looking at these again, is the AAL all the way up to the clamp on the leaf? Hows it look with weight sitting on it?

Yea that looks like it could be a problem when weight is on it. I know the rust on the bottom of my stock leafs was cleaned of about 3/4-1" on both ends from travel. That looks like potential binding.

Here it is with weight on it and a fair amount of cargo in the back. It doesn't look like it should be an issue but I'm not sure. What'd you think?

I think youll be fine. Flex it out so that side is all the way compressed, if theres still room then your good!
