Scotty, reason I didn't bother calling for the little nubs in the bolt holes is that it was easier to round them out than drive back to Fort Collins. That's why I suggested other members be on the lookout for them and handle prior to attempting to mount. If they have the drill bit to handle drilling the required holes, they can easily knock this out before they run in to any trouble. Really not a big deal but something to be on the lookout for, and those expecting this to be mailed to them would certainly not want to mail it back for such minor corrections.
And I just wanted to mention incase you didn't see in my other posts - but it seems like I may have gotten a bumper meant for limited flares. While I understand that I'm kind of knee deep in it after painting and all, you may want to make sure that another member doesn't accidentally receive the SR5 bumper I had ordered as I'm assuming your count could be a little skewed now.

Just received a whole bunch of bumpers in from press bend this afternoon. Glade will start welding/grinding tomorrow on all of these.

No one here knows how long it takes to fabricate a bumper because there was no updates.
comments like yours will just turn this thread into something its not supposed to be.

Listening to him complain and bash Scotty about his badass products pissed me off. Bumpers like this take time to build, plain and simple.

I did the math and thats a bunch of cheese sitting out there. With very little update and way past promised deadlines.

people just want what they paid for, update them on progress, everyone is very understanding, its just that simple..

OKay, I will respond to this before a pissing match ensues.
First of all, I have kept people up to date. I am not hiding from anything and never have. I didn't have my subscription setup correctly on the thread, so I wasn't receiving emails when a post was posted. Which also begs the question as to why someone can't call or email me directly when they need status. Some people have called or emailed, and I have updated them all along. But, I don't have time to check the forums constantly either. Especially if they want their bumpers done. lol
In the case of Hour, yes, I do think it was bashing a little bit. Claiming I wasn't working on bumpers, when in fact the machine I was working on is my plasma table which is the machine that cuts all of these bumpers out. Just because my employees are working on a solid axled rig doesn't mean nothing is being done. IMO, he implied that I didn't care about working on bumpers. Quite the contrary.
Also, there is no chance this was anywhere close to $20K in bumpers. Bumpers have gone up in price $75-100 each since the group buy. Not to mention there was $125 off of each one. Average price of the whole run was $675/ea. That is $13,500. However, but the time I pay for materials, consumables, labor, press bending, winch plates, tubing, sheet metal, etc. There might be $100 profit in each one. So, please don't make it sound like I am pocketing $20k. It is FAR from the truth.
I have already explained that people will get what they paid for, which is a badass bumper for their rig. Some already have gotten theirs. And this is where we stand right now. These are all 3rd gen 4runner bumpers that were built this week. These are NOT ready to ship yet, but some will be ready by tomorrow afternoon to leave. This is three SOLID 10hr days of labor to build 10 bumpers and they aren't even done yet. That is how much labor goes into these.
With all that said, I will never do another group buy. I have always said that a group buy does nothing more than cripple a shop's turn times and in the end the customer gets screwed. And, IMO, sometimes getting a better deal isn't always the best deal.
