Addicted Off-road rear bumper

This doesn't look good for AOR but they update their Facebook page everyday promoting their bumpers so they are around. They should never ignore their customers. That's unacceptable.

Yeah, I was surprised to see them constantly marketing their products, running sales, etc. but yet they aren't delivering on their promise.

How are they planning to be taken seriously ?!

Yeah, I'm having some issues with them as well.

Been nearly 12 weeks and I've gotten no response from them at all.

I wonder if I'm outside my time window to file a complaint to the CC company

You ordered a custom order so even though they charged your card on order date, you have not received your order. My credit card company went with my delivery date for the claim I made. Keep a file of all of your correspondence as you may need it for the credit card company. I had to have all my dates, e-mails etc logged with the complaint
Good luck

dreyday, I ordered mine 3-12-18, got it 6-13-18.
I was only able to get them on the phone one time, no email response.
Make sure you have a paper trail with emails and phone calls do both
knowing you more than likely won't get a response.
I would contact your CC company now let them know you found out
AOR is doing this, start building a case file.

Oddly enough, I finally got a phone call just now with an update saying that bumper should be done this Friday and shipped out.

We'll see just how true that is, but I'm excited to finally get my rig up and running .

From day 1...I was going to say just be patient he will make it right, but I know that's not what people want to hear.

Please realize you CANNOT treat smaller companies such as Addicted Offroad, Savage, Rokmen etc like Wal-Mart or some big corporation.

While the communication did lack, getting on here to bash small companies really doesn't hurt them. :fencing:

Glad I saw this. I was ready to place an order at the end of the month.
Definitely won't be now.

Don't let 1 person's experience deter you.
I ordered my front bumper on a Black Friday Sale one year (late november) and received my bumper in early March - as have hundreds if not thousands of others. Hiccups happen. AOR is making it right.

They still advertise 6-8 week turn around time on their website.

Thats pretty much a standard when it comes to these custom bumpers.

I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt right now knowing that they moved to a new location which does offset time, plus I actually got a phone call back which is nice.

I'll let everyone know if I actually get my tracking number this Friday or not.

I totally get that. Still doesn't explain sending parts out unfinished, then not responding to inquiries about it.
Small businesses live and die by their reputation, especially those selling premium products. Part of selling a high dollar item is the quality and service/support for customers. I've seen a number of folks with complaints/disappointments, whatever anyone would like to call it with AOR, just like any other vendor. Does it make them better or worse, idk. I'll still be holding off my purchase. Moving is no excuse for poor customer service. It's not hard to pick up the phone and have a conversation.

Sorry but I have to disagree with you. They never did make it right with me nor did they attempt to make it right. My credit card company was the only way to make it right. I never treated them like WalMart and my beef was not with the length of time it took to build the bumper, it was with sending out an incomplete bumper and not responding to my inquiries about getting it fixed. Thank goodness I used a credit card because that was the only way to make me whole.

On another note, I ordered a Shrockworks front bumper with the group buy and had no complaints with that transaction whatsoever.

You sound like the folks that were telling others to give Pelfrey the benefit of the doubt. I got my bumper had no problem with the wait. The ripples in the metal sealed the deal, I'll go else where with my hard earned money.

Please realize there are GOOD business practices and SHITTY business practices.

Not returning emails and phone calls is at the top of the shitty practice list. Right under sending out merchandise that hasn't gone through any quality control.

You can have great large businesses and great small businesses. You can have shitty large businesses and shitty small businesses. It's not the size. It's the quality of product and the quality of customer service.

I talked with Scott for a good hours years ago when I got my bumper. It was just him and a welder at that time running everything. Customer service usually suffers but product is normally top notch. He was a really nice guy and had a nice setup. My brother and buddy run all his armor also. I'm really surprised he has not contacted you and I think the OP handled it exactly how he should have.

Hope Scott chimes in and helps the OP out because he does have a quality product.

I don't think anyone expects 2 day Prime shipping from any small business.

What we do expect is at least a timely response when we are way past the ship date or wait six months for a $1k part that turns out to be defective. That's unacceptable.
