I noticed when i took my front bumper off i lost turn singles. So when i add the additced bumper i wont have them so i converted my parking lights into the turn singles and bought 17w bulbs and put in it it seems to work fine have any u guys did this and if so u have any problems begin there not turn single bulbs.

I grabbed the LED turn signals that AOR offers with their bumper. When you don't have the stock bulb resistance in the circuit (bulb out or missing), the turn signals blink a lot faster. You have to replace the stock flasher relay with a different one and then the turn signals are back to the original tempo.

Converting your parking lights is another good option

Correct, when you order my LED turn signals with the bumper, we can provide you with a link to a relay that you can pick up at any auto parts store for $12. You replace your current relay with the new one, and its acts like normal.

When i had the origianl parking lights in they blinked real fast so i bought the 17 watt bulbs for like 2bucks at walmart and now it blinks like normal.

Not enough to notice. According to Scotty the weight of the bumper is only 18lbs more than the parts it replaces.

I can tell you from picking it up that the factory steel bumper is pretty heavy! I sold mine on CL for $20 I think (it was damaged.)

I had no problems picking up the Addicted bumper. In fact, I loaded it into my rental truck, drove it home, put it in the garage, primed and painted it, then put it back in the rental and drove it to the body shop to have it put on my truck. It was easy.

Weight, IMO is one of the two huge advantages of a tube bumper over a plate bumper (the other advantage is cost.)

Im not sure havent gotton it yet. but i hope to get it soon then i can post some pics up on how it looks This is the last thing left to get and i will be done for now on modding the t4r. I have gotton everything else that i orderd. I will need some offroad lights and maybe a basket later on.

Hey hope this thread is still alive I ordered a AOH bumper in July and have gotten no contact with them called emailed and even DMd them on IG and nothing I’ve seen this isn’t out of character for them I’m just wondering if there’s anyone on here that’s gotten anything from them

My AOR tube bumper took about 10-11 weeks from the date I ordered it to the time it was at my door. I had read about the long lead times so I just figured it would take awhile.

How did you paint behind that plate piece with the holes? and did you paint the whole "interior" yaknow etc? did you paint the brace piece that goes on the frame first? I got the same plate bumper and need to prep/paint it. did you sand it down a bit to prep it? also there are burrs from their hole-cutting process, thinking i might have to sahve them off...

Clean it up as you see fit, give the whole bumper a wipe down with acetone or similar. Prime with metal etch primer. Paint everything while it’s off the truck. Just get behind the plate as best you can, it wasn’t easy for sure but try to cover as much bare metal as you possibly can inside and out.. drips don’t matter as much where you can’t see them.

I got the addicted off-road tube front bumper last summer. I mean absolutely no disrespect to the non rust belt members on the forum but they just don't get it when it comes to rust. if you can't epoxy coat it in the rust belt it's totally rusted to nuggets in 12 months. the stuff they put on the roads here is like driving you truck down the beach right @ waters edge every day 2x times and not being able to clean it off for 3 months. anything that is unprotected will be destroyed in no time at all.

I sand blasted and cleaned with lacquer thinner then shot it with 2x coats of epoxy DTM rust seal, then 1 top coat of chassis paint.

I also was pissed off about the unpaintable spot and shot a ton up and inside and got ugly runs... and was not able to get 100% coverage... so.... I'm going to cut the front plate out, add some captive nuts so I can then paint and bolt the plate back on after it's all painted. I was convinced I could get some epoxy up into that area but... it's difficult.

other than that it's a nice bumper and well made. I also agree it had some sharp spots that should have never made it out the door. I went over mine with a grinder/flappy disc and smoothed some things out.

Been running the AOR Plate it a solid bumper like it, painter no problem spraying backside of dimpled plate did say it took some tricks.
