I have a question that has been on my mind and this seems like as good a place to ask as any...

I might be speaking out of place, but I believe it has to do with the hood/ grille hitting when opening the hood.
Ascetically I prefer the angle though.

We won't know for sure until we get it designed and get the quotes back from press bend, and figure out material costs.
I guess that makes sense. Never thought about that. Looks wise, its OK IMO. Don't love it, don't hate it.

I'm not sure if the hood is an issue, but it may very well be. Having it angled out also does mean the hoop will get hit earlier than the rest of the bumper/hood/grille/etc. It also means, if it does take a hit, it'll be able to bend more before it actually creates a clearance issue (that's assuming that a vertical hoop doesn't already)

Here it is. The long waited 4th gen 4runner bumper. Pricing will be $899 for pre-orders. We estimate 6 weeks to be shipping these. We are jigging tomorrow and will have the wings sent out for CAD/CNC Press bend work.

That really looks awesome. I am assuming that the perforated skid plates are included as part of the two piece, modular kit, right?
