Adding CNG fuel option to 2002 4Runnner

I've been looking for any information in converting my 4Runner to dual fuel (CNG & Gasoline). So far - no luck finding anything.

anyone have any information on the subject? cost, who sells the conversion kits, etc

Doubt you are going to find anything on converting that. Seems that each shop has to get certified on each model,engine, and each year to do conversions. If my memory is correct, it is $10k per model/ per year.

Would get expensive quick to get the cert on every year, model, engine option out there. Probably why you only see the conversions for recent years, and for only select motors.

18 months ago my 4th gen runner was converted to natural gas, so far no problems. That cost me around 2000 usd, but i live in Dominican Republic. Here we have some certified shops to make the convertion. The fuel savings are huge, around 70 % compered to gasolina prices.
