New affordable supercharger

So this supercharger uses EATON TVS1320 body which is made in australia. Only added parts are chinese. Air fedex shipment and 3 year warranty total $5050. I guess they are big in Europe and on Mazda technology. They also have authorized reseller certification from Eaton. They are claiming 140Hp more than magnuson which also uses same Eaton tvs1320 body. I will attach more of their spec here later.[/

I looked it up and Magnuson claims 335 hp, which is 65 hp more than the stock 270. You’re saying this Chinese VT supercharger produces 140 hp more than the Magnuson while using the same body? That’s a total of 205 hp more than stock. I personally can’t wait to see this. I’m sure the final story will be brief.

It does use the Easton TVS1320 body - and VT is a sister co. of HKS and the 4.0L 1GRE kit specifically uses HKS pulleys and component parts. Look up HKS in asian markets.

OP may have misstated or it was misunderstood, Magnuson claims ~30% increases in HP (yes roughly the stock 270+65 to maybe 335 or so) - at 6/7 lbs of boost... The VT kit uses the came twin-roots component for compression so you get roughly the same gross output - and boost, but it could be tuned differently than the stock magnuson tune - and supposedly asian shops are getting 40%+ out of it, though likely with a smaller pulley. Vids online of LC200s with the 1GRE getting tuned to over 400 HP...

There is a shop in Aurora, CO that is the US distributor and Dave has apparenlty installed several different models, one 4.0L kit on an older Taco - with great results...

Wondering if the OP ever pulled the trigger...

I have an order in (with Dave, VT Supercharger Kits | VT-Racing USA worldwide delivery – VTSuperchargers) and it should be here by the end of next week.

A lot of doubt because it's made in China. It personally doesn't scare me since I am familiar with US made DaimlerChrysler/FCA/Stellantis products. I personally haven't heard nightmares about VT but it looks like you'll be the one to test it. I can't imagine they would be throwing in no-name bearings in the accessory stuff. Likely NSK or Koyo stuff but made in China as well.

I must agree with the statement that $5k+ is not cheap. If your 4Runner is also the daily driver, this feels like a train wreck waiting to happen.

At half the price on a dedicated off-roader that I self install to understand the product if/when I need to adjust/repair/replace, I would consider it...

A note on Chinese customer support. Don't bet on it. I bought something for a few hundred from Amzn a few months ago. Missing a little part. Customer support responded and tried to run out the window on the return period. Amzn refunded the full amount and told me not to bother sending it back...
You say that $2k is a lot for you. $5k is more.

We have 416K miles on a 2014 4Runner with 1GR-FE. I’ll take the under on Kalshi for a 1GR-FE with this or any supercharger. People buy these 4Runners for their outstanding reliability and off-road performance, not for racing.
