adding extra power outlet

I remember seeing some posts with someone adding an extra cig lighter. I have most of the items to do it but I can't find the post. There is one guy with a canadian flag that i have seen but there is another one from someone else which i can't find. The person mounted theres under the drivers side by the emergency break pedal.

If anyone knows where this post is, could they point me in the right direction. I have searched and searched everywhere

I know the thread you mean but I can't find it back.
It's the thread that gave me the idea to look around and where to mount mine. I find my location to the right of the steering column very handy for the centre console.

well i completed the task, I Found the correct power outlet with the bracket. It looks really nice and clean but if you do not want it to have constant power, can you place the build a circuit in the CIG fuse?

This one? You have it in the DIY sticky...

CRDT4R, any pics? Yes, the cig fuse should be just fine. The total load of all outlets can't exceed the rating of the cig fuse, obviously. A spotlight and a compressor simultaneously might be an issue.

thats the one i used but there was another one I was looking for. I put it in the same location as the the post which I like a lot and it works great.

has anyone seen this before?

it might not be as clean but maybe the outlets could go in that useless cubby below the A/C controls and the swiches maybe on the side of the shifter? or in the center console?

Edit: i just remembered, it's not an always on power source since it's using the existing 12V outlet, however, if u rig up the extra one w/ the always on power source, then this wouldnt' be that bad of an idea? ... just a thought

i thought about those but it is just too big and bulky. you can barely even see what I added. If i were to get that though I would put it on the passenger side somewhere and make them deal with it.

... Here is the one I did...

Thanks for the link. That's the one CRDT4R and I were referring to earlier that gave us the idea to copy the location.
