I'm replacing the cloth fabric portion of the trim on my 87 SR5 all power door panels. On these door panels the section that the cloth is glued to is metal and it's held onto the cardboard panel with tabs that bend over. The fabric is worn down and the metal is rusty and staining the material. It's time to restore them.
The original fabric has a 1/8" foam backing, but the replacement material has no foam backing. Can I simply glue 1/8" cloth backed sew foam to my replacement material?
Clearly I'm a newb with interior work, but this cut and glue trim project seems a good way to start learning.
