Adding Options

Well I finally got my JBL system upgraded to a 6-disc and I am already trying to decide what my next "option" upgrade will be.

I have an '04 V8 SE 4x4 and I really wanted more options, but I couldn't find anything in my area. So I'm on a mission to add as many of those missing options as I can.

So far I have added the homelink console and the 6-disc JBL system. I also bought a set of all-season mats to use in the winter.

Here is my list of what I think I could maybe add... if anyone has thoughts on these or others, I'd really like the input.

- AC power outlet (I think I read that this might be hard to do)
- Heated leather seats
- Dimming rearview mirror with compass
- 3rd row seats???

I'm thinking the mirror might be the next step...

Thanks for the help.

3rd row seats wouldn't be possible without serious modification. It'd be easier to by a truck with it.

Auto-dimming mirror is a cool option, there is a thread or two on the forums regarding install and etc.

Heated leather seats are nice. Comfy, easier to clean imo, but require more maintenance.

AC power outlet??? You mean adding an extra power outlet? If so, a lot of people have added the cigarette lighter, it will give you two power outlets.. There's also a couple of threads about it on the forums too.

Yeah, I was pretty sure it wasn't possible. I really wanted that extra seating, but not as much as my Sport Edition and Sunroof (neither available with the 3rd row seats). It would be a lot more useful for me than the double decker cargo system that I used once.

I'm thinking the 115V outlet that I could plug my laptop into...

ahh, I see.. That would be cool to have, but like you said, may be tough to do. I think someone here posted that it's already prewired, but getting the parts may be quite pricy. It may be easier/cheaper to just get a power inverter. I dunno, definitely something to look into. A search may help, someone may already have looked into it..
