Adding rear lights in the bumper lenses..

i've been looking ove the rear bumper of my truck and i'd like to try and make use of the rear lenses that are in the bumper.. they dont seem to do anything, but a little reflection.. has anyone done this yet? maybe like euro fog lights that can turned on and off... or take them another set of brake/tail lights... any feed back on this would be great...
