Adio3x's Build/Pic thread.

Are these "the stairs" in Sedona AZ? (I think that's what they call them...). It looks similar but I can't tell... I did a bunch of trails in the Sedona area this time last year in a rented jeep. So many fun places to go out there.

I believe you are talking about the Broken Arrow Trail in Sedona, AZ.

Moab continued:

This is the starting descent on White Rim. Funny thing is we met this Swedish family driving a Honda Odyssey around the first switchback. They had gone all the way down to realize that the Ody couldn't further pursue the trail.

MountainSun's buddy brought his HEEP.

The Colorado river

Probably the coolest place I've ever camped, it was up on a plateau, we had our tents setup on top of that rock until we saw this coming:

But then we witnessed this roll through, it was awesome!

Last stop before heading out to Ouray.

Delicate Arch/Arches national park

We only had a few hours to kill before we had to start heading back home. Met up with the Chicago guys to run Black Bear Pass.

One of the scariest switchbacks on the mountain, I'm sure some of you know what I'm talking about and the wetness wasn't helping either.

Looking down into Telluride

That concludes my trip. I plan on heading out there again in 2015, I would drive out there every year if I could afford it, it was a ton of fun and I highly suggest it.

Awesome pics brother! Really need to have you give me some pointers on the wife's camera whenever we get together for a trail ride at Moonlight. Can't wait to make this trip this year!

Just overheated a ton. It wasn't just the heat, found out later that the fins in my radiator were bent and caked in mud. :roadkill:

Where did the mud come from?

Haha I remember that exact switchback. Had to do a 50 point turn and bust my fenders off to get around it.

Those switchbacks down to start White Rim, if you get back there, make a right at the bottom and check out the mine about 1/2 mile up the road. I was there yesterday, and about gave my wife a heart attack when we got a little bit sideways on the ice.

I have a pic in that same spot on the waterfall on the way up to Black Bear pass.

How are those ARB skids treating you? Look a little tweaked. I just trashed mine and replaced with a full set of Bud's.

I had the buds & replaced them with the ARBs lol. They're doing great so far, if you don't mind having to hammer them back out after running something over, then I would recommend them haha.

So this happened yesterday.........

Took me roughly 2 hours to mask everything off, and 4 hours to do the actual dipping. Didn't run into any problems on the body, but I did mask off the trim above the doors and didn't take my time with the masking. Ended up with a few snags, but luckily I can thin it down and respray those areas. I used a flat black base coat & finished it off with a 50/50 mix of glossifier & black = Satin Black.

O yea, also put on my trail hood that has been sitting in the garage for the past 4 years lol.
