The trail grapplers are great off roading but I noticed a huge decrease in fuel economy. I drove from va to nh and was down to about 14.5. Tires are great though.

How are they in the rain? Its either those or the Goodyear MT/R Kevlars.

With the size of the knobs on them they seem to channel the water pretty good. I haven't had any problem in any condition. Rain, sleet, snow, mud.. well sand they dig a lot. but other then that, I love them.

Thanks man, I appreciate it. 370 for a 5th!! I'll just say, you won't regret it lol. I sold my rsx and turboed integra, nothing compared to a 370, but both fun little cars for my 5th. No regrets! I have a lot more fun in my 4runner than I ever had in those hondas. :thumb3:

Little update.

Installed my cobra 19 yesterday and 3ft firestik. Not wired up though, didn't realize our fuses were mini and had to order an add a fuse and a couple of 7.5A mini fuses. I may go to a 2ft firestik, couldn't really mount the Diamond K400 anywhere else on the hatch.

Also ended up getting the first snow of the year today in Missouri, last week it was 65 degrees :wow2:

I started shopping around for CB parts... can you post some close-ups of how you mounted the Firestick? I really liked the flow-flat breedlove mount that Philly2d has, but having it on the rear looks pretty cool. what would be the difference in reception quality since it's lower mounted in your case?

I like the flow-flat, but I also didn't want to have to mess with it every time I wanted to use my CB. I don't think their is any difference in reception, I know a bunch of other gens that have it mounted around their taillamps. I wish I could mount it lower, but with the lamps bulging out, its impossible,

Heres the mount, its a Diamond K400 base, I just ran the firestik coax from the gate into the pillar, down into the jack door, up to the front seat. Its not clean, but its gets the job done.

She sure is pretty. Normally I'm not a big fan of the front bumpers but damn, looks sweet on a black 4R

And yes, Antenna placement will matter, google is your buddy to learn why, but for 99% of us you will not notice much difference. Rear hatch was going to be my plan B or C.

Thanks all for the positive feedback! Philly I'll look into that, only real time I use the CB is on wheeling trips.

Next up is either full skids or some Rigid lights. Haven't really decided which one I want more lol.

CB setup looks good! Can you take a few more upclose pics if you don't mind? I'm still working that drifter mount that we talked about. Getting some design and sizing figured out through solidworks, and hopefully I'll have one brought to life before too long.

And you can't go wrong either way with the skids or lights. Both need to happen eventually right?
