Well I figured it was about time I started my build thread. I've been lurking on here for a month or so now and would like to thank ripcord and the other members who contributed to the buyers guide thread. It was very useful when it came time to bite the bullet. I ended up hoping on a train from Fullerton Ca to San Luis Obispo. After a 9 hour road trip I picked up a 2000 Limited 4wd. It came with Toy Tech front 890 coils and rear 891 coils, 285 BFG All Terrains on Pro Comp 8069 Aluminum wheels, Outdoor Logic front bumper, and all the service records from the first and second owners.
Since purchased I brought all the maintenance up to date doing the water pump/belt, the rest of the belts, and all of the fluids. I also upgraded all of the interior lights with LEDs and added a small LED fog light on the front. I also plasti dipped the rear emblems.
Future upgrades include a custom roof rack, rear bumper with tire carrier, HIDs, winch, and many more things.
A lil about me...
I'm not new to off-road. I've been involved in desert racing since 2006 and love it. I have a lil experience in the 4x4 scene, but def plan on getting more involved. I look forward to some good trail runs with some local guys.
Im planning on doing a run up bee canyon to idyllwild if anyone is down.
