So I needed to replace my TP sensor...simple right? Nope. Try as I might I could not get those little screws holding that sensor on to budge..and they started to round off.
So..plan B...remove the whole throttle body to get at it. Simple right? Nope. Most of it went OK, but the coolant hoses on the bottom where absolutely welded on, the fact that there was not much room to work did not help either.
Found a small hose pick and managed to get them off after much effort. Once the TB was off used some needle nose vice grips to get the screws out for the TP sensor.
Time for reassembly, put some hex head bolts on the TP sensor (M4x12mm) with some anti seize so I can get it off if there is a next time. Also replaced the factory hose clamp for a screw clamp on the back water hose to make it easier to tighten.
Got it all back on and all is well...but a 10 minute job turned into a 1 hour job real quick.
