Compressor

Did you get the compressor working? How do you like the mounting location?

I also have the Blue Sea block with the ANL fuse and really like the flexibility. Do you recall if you placed a 3A fuse on the AOB switch? If so can you provide more info? Directions from AOB state it is required but can't find a definitive answer through my searches.

Where are the rear seats....gone for good?

Nothing is "for good" when it comes to modding! I think she mentioned tossing them in her attic. Since her furry kids travel in crates not too much need for the extra seating. :becky:

I mean.... they are in the attic, and it took both of us the get the heavy one up there. I'd say they're pretty much not going back in the truck again.... unless I die and someone sells it.

Yes the compressor is working. I like the location, although it does eat up a bit of room if you're mounting components for a dual battery (and only have a single chamber compressor). The bracket from Slee is solid.

I did not use a 3a fuse on the switch and it seems to work fine.

A couple people have asked about the volt meter I have. It's not wired up yet, but here it is. It illuminates in red.

I know it's expensive for what it is, but it fits the Toyota blank perfectly.

I love this!

...one request: I need to see some pics or video of it lit up. One of the problems I have with the volt meters/gauges is they are either too bright or too dim. Talk about OCD: I can't stand having something inside the cab that is glaringly bright or that I have to get my eye within 3 inches to read it (I'm not that old yet).

Oh, Snap!!! They make it in blue too!!!

We're nuts.... this is the crazy sh!t I get excited about...

I probably won't have it wired up for another week or so, this week is jammed. But as soon as I do, I will let you know. It is fairly bright, but no brighter than the ACR switch. I put it down low on the dash next to the ACR switch so that I wouldn't be blinded by the brightness. I did read on here that another member used some tint to put over their volt meter led which decreased the brightness. I did touch it to the battery before snapping it into the blank to make sure it worked and to verify which wire goes to which battery readout. It's definitely bright enough to read in daylight, but may be a bit annoying after dark. I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.

I did buy a couple of other small volt meters from Amazon, but I would have to make a mount for them and cut up my interior some more. I liked this option as it was much cleaner and easier.

This storage box is absolutely incredible. I am so floored that this is how it turned out and that I get to keep it. It is so well thought out and fits my needs perfectly. I am truly grateful for the talent it took to make this happen. Thank you to Antman who pulled off my vision to make a reality. It's nothing short of amazing.

How about the switch you mounted next to the dual volt meter? Where did you get that? It looks pretty good mounted flush. I could use a few more switch spots mounted flush like that.

Here's a quick snap of mine lit up. I love it. It down far enough I don't see while driving, but every time I get in the T4R I see exactly what my levels are.

I have the same gauge. Love it! I use a switch next to it to turn it on and off.

Is the meter always on?

Yes, it's always on. If I remember correctly the back side has 4 wires, 2 red, 2 black. It wouldn't be to hard to add a switch of some kind. The easiest way would be to just break the ground connections that I wired together. Some sort of momentary switch would work just fine, But there's already a lack of switch space so I decided to just wire it up and see if I had any issues with it.

So far so good, but it probably should be wired in such a way that it's only on when the ignition is on or when you want to check the readings. The longest I have let the truck sit between uses is about 6 days (airport long term parking) and it's been fine starting up. However, I'm not powering a fridge or anything that is always on.

That shot was taken right after I started the engine one morning. Occasionally I will see it run at 14.1 for a minute or so(when it's real cold out) then it starts dropping back down into this range for the entire commute.

FYI, for those looking to buy it, the seller also sells it on ebay for cheaper with free shipping. search for "DUAL BATTERY VOLT METER FOR TOYOTA PRADO 150" you find it for under $40 (Ships from Australia, so it takes awhile to get)

If you look at mine I put in a separate On/Off switch on my meter as I didn't want it always on.
