Advice appreciated

So I decided to buy a JDM motor and swap it into this truck. I found a nice clean engine and my mechanic is working to get it installed hopefully by the weekend. I have my fingers crossed.

I am curious if anyone knows how I can determine what vehicle the motor that I purchased came out of. There is a 7 digit number stamped into the block but I am not sure that is what I need. Does anyone know how I can tell?

Thanks inadvance for your help.

I have a jdm in mine. For about 50k miles now. There are a lot of JDM places here in NJ. So I was able to drive and pick it out physically and visually.

Happy to report that I finally have this 4Runner back on the road. When we first fired up the replacement JDM engine, it had a fairly loud lifter tick. But after running the motor for a while everything has quieted down nicely and now purring like a kitten. Looking forward to a long remaining life for this truck.

Here is a picture of the damaged engine we removed. Hard to understand what caused this engine to let go, but boy did it ever let go.
