Advice on Suspension:

Hey,

I am a brand new member on this site, and I honestly think you guys can help me out.

I want to put a suspension lift kit (no damn spacers, want to do it proper), and I am hoping to get around 3" of lift. But, when doing research on this fantastic forum, its saying i will probably have to get new UCA and sway bar relocaters. Is this 100%, if not, tell me what capabilities would i be limited to, tire size (lets do ole school imperial here, keep it simple), etc.

Also, I am looking to buy Ironman 4x4 suspension as well, it seems to be the best bang for its buck. post your personal views on this, I am all ears.

Thanks for the link, thats actually where I did my research ( which mentions the UCA, etc)

Any opinions on the IronMan 4x4 shock? I hear they are much better than the OME suspension kits, also cost a fraction of the price. I just want to hear more user review on that brand.

I can't speak for the ironman suspension but you will definitely want aftermarket UCA's to set the caster alignment back to spec. They also help with camber and clearing wider tires. your spring rates and such are mainly dependent on preference if you like firm or soft rides. If you stiffen up the front end enough you can just drop the sway bar up front and get better off-road performance. Also with the rear sway bar it benefits to get extended sway bar links to allow the axle to flex better. I will say that if you plan to upgrade to adjustable coil overs in the future it would best to go ahead and start with those you'll definitely want to do it right the first time instead of switching components as you get money for them

One thing to keep in mind with Ironman is most if their kits lift in the 2-2.5" range.

Thanks for that thread. Was definitely a good read, will have to see if that Ironman suspension comes with an a spacer to correct list on the driver side (like the OME kit does).
