Advise on Kings suspension upgrade.

my 2018 ORP w/ KDSS currently has a 3' spacer lift from the dealer and I'm nervous sometimes off road that something will over flex and break. I also hate the nosedive, and I just installed a roof rack so all that extra weight is a concern.
So I have been shopping for a new suspension set up.
1. Icon stage 2 kit w/ delta joint ucas and rear trac bar
2. King kit -Front and rear kings 2.5 (non adjusters) , icon 2" rear coil, Icon UCA

What is everyone's thoughts and experience?

You can save a pretty penny by avoiding the Delta-Joints. I have them and honestly I'm not sure it's worth the extra $$$ over JBA's. I've helped install both, and I wish I had gone with JBA's from the start.

And as far as the trac-bar is concerned, I'd go with Sonroan steel.

You really can't go wrong with either shock. They both need rebuilding, both cost a ton, both have their fanboys. :deadhorse:

You'll be able to make a better, more informed decision by visiting either Filthy Motorsports or Accutune Offroad and reading and watching their material on each.

Icon shocks are crap, leaky turds. Both will require rebuilds and maintenance, in my experience the Icons much more than the Kings. If you don't want to rebuild stuff get Dobinson or OME, Toytec is a nice middle ground between the OME/Dobinsons and Kings/Icon/BP51's.

If you opt for Kings, just make sure you follow the recommend service intervals.

Mine had approx 60k miles of hard riding (previous owner) without a rebuild on them. What originally wouldve been a $300-350 job turned into $1000 after I needed 2 new shafts, 2 new rod ends, all new bearings, etc.

I don't have experience with either install, but why don't you get the spacers removed and see how you like it with regular suspension? That will calm your nerves some and give you piece of mind while you decide what's next.

If you've been running the same trails with spacers that you're going to run with Kings/Icons, then you don't need Kings/Icons.

As mentioned earlier, Dobinson, OME, Eibach or whoever else with a mid-level kit will be plenty good for you and you will save a ton of money.

Kings and Icons cannot be compared in the same sentence. King is king

If you go with Kings extended travel, you NEED the UCA. Otherwise, stay stock unless you run into trouble or find the need for a UCA. I would have if I could...

If you decide to save the $$ then I would also consider Bilstein 6112/5160 combo as an Icon alternative.. or the Fox 2.0 stuff. Several other in this segment too. Really comes down to preference and local availability
