I purchased this air intake kit for my 2013 trail edition and I had some fit problems when I installed it. There is what I think is a vacuum line that now runs up over the engine which is being compressed by the main tube on the air intake. I took it in for an oil change and the guy said that it wasn't a problem, but I have noticed significant fuel economy decreases since I installed the intake. I'm from Canada so I only have liters per 100kms to compare. But when I did my first 10,000kms I was getting 12L/100kms (19.6MPG) average which is not amazing, but pretty good for a truck this size. Now that I put on the intake I'm getting 15L/100kms (16.6MPG). I'm not sure if it has to do with the vacuum line or what. I was always under the impression that putting on the air intake would give me better fuel economy rather than more power, but its giving me neither.
Any help or suggestions would be great, thinking about taking the intake off to get the fuel economy back up to something more reasonable.
Thanks guys,
S.
