Pretty much you will sacrifice quality for a cheaper header system. Most people that have LCE or DT headers love them. Pacesetters are pretty cheap and never seem to fit right, the paint will be gone in the first five minutes of driving too. It's worth it to get ceramic coating on your header IMO.
As far as mufflers go it all depends on what you want it to sound. I have a flowmaster but it is loud, especially running catless. Although it doesn't sound ricey at all.

thank you man, that helps a lot. i was leaning towards the ceramic coated ones and i think that is what i will go with and i am probably going with flowmaster as well.
my research has told me that for my truck a 2.25 in/out would be best.

On my former truck 86 22re I had long tubes/catless and a flowmaster - hated it. Switched to a 2.5" from the header back with a turbo style muffler, loved it.
On my new truck 89 3vze I have done a 2.25" turbo style muffler/catless with stock manifolds and it sounds pretty good. I just cannot justify spending what vendors want for good headers on a 3vze to milk what little power it to be had out of it, just my .02 though.
