After market seats, brand, origon ect

so yeah im getting really tired of the seats in my truck, and with good reason, they have over 280k miles on them, the sides are worn out/down, and i have a bad back. and lets face it, the tech and comfort is 20years old that these seats were designed around, so what have you guys done for seats, what is available out there.

yeah i know there are brands like corbeau and these are the seats id consider from them but im not really sure i want to spend that much on seats

every time i have been to a salvage yard and seen the seats on the racks that they have pulled i think about buying a set but hold of not knowing if it would work.

some of the seats i have looked at are nissan 350/370z seats. mazda rx8, 3series, miata seats. toyota celica, mr2, corolla. scion tc, frs. honda civic. chevy camaro/firebird ect.

yeah im looking more for a sport seats, but i want something that will be comfortable as well. im looking for more of a black seat as that will go with my rig and the fact that i already have black interior accents. so i guess my question is what have you guys done or thought of, or even seen. and does anyone else feel the same way i do about our seats?
id even be willing to put together a list of seats that can and will fit into our rig that would be useable. the things im looking for is a semi/quasi stock look, not to flashy, or ricey, comfortable, supportive, and yet easy to work with. id be ok with leather but would prefer cloth as thats what i have now, but i could always redo the rear seats in leather to match the fronts as well.

I have 260,000 on our runner and the drivers seat is also shredded.

Was considering cloth seats out of a 99-04 jeep grand cherokee. I have a black leather seat to try as a mockup. Haven't tried it yet.

Don't know if you saw it but I did corbeau sport seats in mine. They are black and some of the more reasonably priced corbeau seats. They fit nicely but are a little wide in the base and do touch the door pockets. I got the black ones and they look nice in the truck. Ride is firm like you would expect from a sport seat.

That said if you are handy with a welder and the seat physically fits most any seat could be adapted to work if you can make a mount for it.

and a video. i realize 4runner seats arent identical, but I figure the dimensions of the cab are the same so they should physically fit the same. I figure maybe the tracks would be the biggest difference.

I have a Corbeau in mine as well...only one..lol The stock seats did not work for my back even though they are power....

I went to racing seats usa.com, but the best part is the mounts!. The mounts they sell are direct bolt-in so no fabrication and they were like $90 each.

I am currently using a Corbeau Baja in black, but its a little too soft. I have a sweet GTS II but its too thin, aggressive although if the bottom cushion was a little wider (and Im not big 33 waist!) it would be awesome!.

I have Corbeau Moab seat too, never used it and its a great alternative as well...I would check out the site.....you could always buy the mount there then look for cheap Corbeaus on CL....

As a former owner of an xB I 100% agree with that statement
