Aftermarket air ride

Has anyone replaced their coil springs, or even their OEM rear air ride with an aftermarket (not OEM style) bag setup? Airlift, Contitech, Firestone, etc.. Curious about doing just that. Basically "bagging" the rear end of my 4runner, but not to slam it, keeping a small lift and adjusting for trailer.

do you mean, using the airbags in the springs as to aid for towing and heavy load in the rear?

ive been pretty ok with the firestone setup, i only need to air it once in a while to keep that 5 psi, i usually leave it at 10.

why i have bags, well when it was still stock with the x reas suspension, my rear was starting to show signs of age, have constant 240 ish pounds in the cargo all the time from my audio gear stuff. for 100 bucks, i didnt mind having the bags as a band aid. i probably dont need the bags anymore, but it helps when you really load up the cargo, i had 10 80 pound bags of concrete, didnt feel like anything was back there.

Most people do a coil conversion to eliminate the factory air springs (when RAS equipped). I'm sure you could replace it with another set of air springs, but not sure what benefit that would really get you going from OEM bags to aftermarket.

I did the coil conversion and went with airlift's in-coil bags to be able to still adjust for load.
