Has anyone successfully installed an aftermarket backup camera and connected it to the stock head unit? My OEM camera just shorted out (only black screen when reversing) after washing the car. I don't want to spend $500+ on an OEM camera module.
I understand that it is 6v instead of 12V. Any reason I couldn't buy this camera and connect it to the stock wiring?
And yes I used the search button. Have been doing so for about an hour. Most threads I found ended up not providing enough info.
