Aftermarket lower control arm links

I came down on a rock and bent my rear lower control arm link.

It still seems to drive OK, but the link looks weakened and I figure it will bend too much next time.

So I was looking at getting these.

These are made for an FJ, but they should fit the 5th gen, right?

Any other ones I should look at.

I've got THESE Sonoran Steel LCA's on my 5th Gen TE. I swapped them over from my FJ. The quality of these units is as good as you're going to find........plus, Steve (the owner of Sonoran Steel) is a longtime 4-Runner guy.

The Sonoran lower links look nice, but if I were going to spend the money, I'd be getting the Metaltech ones (again). They're adjustable, allowing for proper pinion angle after a lift, and the offset mount allows for greater suspension articulation when combined with a long travel rear suspension setup. Whereas the Sonoran links for the 4runner are basically a stock link with thicker walled tubing.

The ones I sell will work, and are better quality. The link is in my sig, and shoot me a PM if you want pricing. I can make them fixed, or adjustable. Be leery of the AllPro since they state they use 2.25" DOM and we only have an mounting width of 2-3/8". That means you only have 1/8" of bushing on each side, and that's something to be concerned about. My adjustable links are made from 1-3/4" x .250 wall DOM, and weigh around 22 pounds per pair.

They're made the exact same as a 3rd Gen (pictured) with one exception being the offset. An FYI for you as well. It isn't going to matter how much adjustment you have on the lowers. If you want to adjust your pinion you need to have adjustable uppers. With you're uppers being fixed, the lowers are very limited in the amount of adjustment they'll contribute. Not to mention, when you adjust the adjust the uppers it clocks your axle and uses the axle shafts as a pivot point.

To adjust your pinion using lowers, you'll actually need shorter arms. Shortening the arms is going to pull you axle forward. Causing the uppers to push back clocking the pinion into a more direct line with the transfer case. Adjustment on the lowers should only be minimal, and the major adjustments should come from the top.

Some pictures of my 3rd Gen's:

Thanks for the info guys. I'm leaning towards the metal techs. MStudt, I do plan to buy your sway-bar links.

So,... what KIND of deal if I get the whole package? (with the Double disconnects) on a 2004 limited/V8 with 2.5" ICON lift?
