Aftermarket roof rack with Yakima Railgrabs

I've been interested in an aftermarket / full replacement roof rack (Gobi/Baja) for some time.

I currently have a Yakima Railgrab system that attaches to my factory rails, giving me the wider crossbars needed for hauling 2 wide "hybrid" fishing kayaks.

My question: Can the Yakima Railgrab system attach to the aftermarket roof racks in the same way that it does to the factory rails?

Yes, they'll work.

I contemplated between the Yakima and Thule and ultimately went with Thule. I have other accessories that work well with the square bars vs. round.

You should have gotten multiple clamp "feet" for your railgrabs. The Gobi rack uses a 1" bar, so the medium clamp, which is designed for 1-1/16" rails should work out just fine. The large clamps that came with your railgrabs may work a little better. I think they would have a better "bite" to the Gobi/Baja rails.
