Morning!! First post here so I do hope I’m in the right spot… I bought a pair of Hertz Cento CX 690 6x9”s for the front doors and didn’t cross check them with Crutchfields database for fitment. Has anyone else used these for their front door speakers? I’ve got some mounts on there from the DD ones I have now but I don’t know if they’re gonna be ok or if I’ll need to do some “surgery”. Was looking at the Tacotunes mounts but if they don’t fit, then they don’t fit. Anyways, thx in advance and any suggestions appreciated!!

Depends on the depth of that magnet but they should fit... I have the TacoTunes mounts and they give you a lot of extra depth when mountint

I'll be adding my existing Pioneer touchscreen head unit (purchased in 2017) to my recently acquired 2018 Limited. I have a Maestro RR2 on the way to me know, along with the required harnesses, and a dash adapter. I won't be touching the speakers or amps right away, but need the Pioneer in place for a road trip in a few weeks.

I might post a build thread on it, if I have enough time. If not I can drop some random photos in here.

I'll eventually upgrade to one of the floating head units, but only if the display is less than 5½ inches tall--Pioneer's 9-inch display fits this dimension. That would keep it out of the way of the vents and the HVAC display.

Yeah these things are pretty solid looking… The basket is even slick looking. The two tweeters look like they might be the issue here. Looks like they protrude above the woofer plane pretty aggressively. The fiancé is gonna freak out if I get to cutting on her door with a multitool…lol. Better test the magnet first and then go from there.

You'll probably have to trim down the speaker grill, it has fins on the back

Appreciate this is an old thread, however i came across this USA made kit recently and it seems very well put together, its all over youtube as well.
