Air Lift 1000 install question

I've scoured the internet and can't seem to find the answer. Are the plastic 'puck' discs included used on the top, or bottom or both? The kit I got of ebay came with 4 of them. Thanks in advance!

Looks like they go under the bag should have a hole in them for the air line to run thru.

I put my pucks at the bottom, only had two pucks though.
