I called them today...because I put 906's on the back. They were emphatic...of course they were...that I measure then order. My worn out 256K suspension dimensional was negligible to the 906's. .25 on width and 1" on height....interested in what they say. Will have that answer tomorrow!!

I asked AirLift and they said these bags work by filling between the coils. By the way these bags have 20 psi in them.

Hello,

I just installed my air bags and followed the instruction manual. One step told me to cut the bump stop on the truck which I did and now when I installed the airbags in the new OME ARB 2890 Old Man Emu Coil Springs there is a large 2 inch gap between the bottom and top of the airbag. Did I do something wrong during the installation? Was I supposed to not cut the bump stop or should I have added the large rubber discs inside the coils? I believe that my original Toyota springs are shorter than the OME 2890 and may be the reason for this. I guess I'm trying to understand if the airbags should be touching at the top and bottom of the spring perches with 5-20 psi. I have a couple pictures I took on the installation that I can share with Air Lift on this to help troubleshoot.

Hello,

The bags are made to expand outward and fill the gaps between the coils. So when loaded the coil can not compress keeping the vehicle at ride height. The bags will not expand up and down so a gap between the bag and the spring mount will not effect the way the system works.

Have you tried putting the 2.5inch pucks into the mix? Might be just what you need, or taller bags.

I have type three, and a 3in lift on my 2001. left one ring on the bumper and used the black puck on top. without air in the bag everything fills the space.

my only concern is that with that space filled and maintaining the minimum 5 psi, that on compression I blow the hose off the bag....should I cut the last ring off the option 3 bumper and lose the puck? instructions seem kind of vague to me..

Bump cuz I got the same question. I got the only kit listed for this 4runner but have OME coils that gave me a 2" lift. I assume I use the blocks to make up for the 2" lift but unsure since they are 2.5" blocks and will have full contact top and bottom at ride height.

As it sites now, the lines are routed down and I noticed that, when unloaded, the bags pull up out of the holes so there is an inch gap below and above the bags.

I am also slowly losing air over a period of days. I have soaped the entire system and no bubbles anywhere. I have a theory that the system is forcing air out when the truck compresses hard on a bump and hits the bags (as bumpstops do).
