aisin manual hub issue

I can't get the gear to go flat with the spring and I'm thinking the spring might be bad. Figured I would double check so I don't waste 13.50 on a new one.

Yep I'm almost positive the spring is bad too. So I went ahead and ordered a new one on wabfab. Wasn't the cheapest but only place I could find them.

And ya the spring threads into the gear. Its really a weird set up.

I have first gen tacoma manual hubs on my 3rd gen so they are not the same hubs but probably pretty similar. Here are some comparable shots.

Uh Oh... Good luck with wabfab. They have been banned from more than one forum for screwing over their customers. He screwed over a buddy on a $1000+ order.

Ya I didn't want to order with them. It was 13.50 for spring and 12 for shipping so I added some bolts for the hubs and they added $3 to shipping. But they were the only place that had it. I called everywhere. So I hope they don't screw me.

+1... That guys seems like Everything That Is Wrong With Wheeling.

To the OP, good luck on the fix! Kind of appalling that the "wabbit" is the only guy that had the part, but oh well!

Well got 2/3 of my order today. Wabfab outsourced to trail gear for the axle nuts and they 2 day shipped. Still waiting on the hub spring that wabfab ups ground shipped.

Got the spring I needed today. I'm kind of pissed because the spring is definetly not new. For $25 I was expecting new spring but at least it will get me going.
