ajohnson's 85 build

Yup thats what I'm debating. I just wondered if that will destroy the airsoft bb's inside the tire though

I wouldn't worry about the heat, that's momentary. You might wanna spray a little pile of the BBs with starter fluid first and make sure it doesn't act like a solvent and melt them though.

If you're doing this at home then why not use an air compressor and seat the beads the normal way? I understand using the starter fluid method if you're out on the trail, but using it at home doesn't make sense to me.

I got smart and ended up using a compressor, but I had to pack the beads with grease to keep the air in so the beads would seal.

Its supposed to rain for the next few days so I won't be able to mess with it. I don't think I'll be able to wheel again 'til mid July :(

You should be good with 10 oz per tire. That's what I run with Dynabeads. First tried them on my KTM 690 and they worked great so I threw them in when I had the Swampers mounted. They're good up to about 70 mph. :)

I drove the hoerunner to work this morning. Got it up to about 60 and it was riding pretty smooth. So far I'm happy with the 37's, especially since my 35's look so good on my buddy's 82 pickup.

(Using hypnosis) You must come to Moab in October.

That's a long drive from North Carolina! But I agree!! You should come to MOAB!

Lol! I would love too! I cant this year though :(

I bought an 87 SR5 4runner yesterday. I'll try to post pics this evening. It will replace the 85 with its rusted frame, swiss cheese body and tired motor. The plan is to SAS my built axle, regear the ifs axle with a grizzly, get some better armor, rear bumper with swingout tire carrier, and swap over all my other parts including the suspension. I'm hoping I can make it to Moab next year.

I can't quite understand going to IFS from a straight axle? I get the frame and engine but why not straight axle the 87
