ajohnson's 85 build

Wow I was so busy last month. In my spare time I rebuilt a couple decks for my mom's rental property, fixed up my lady friend's yard. Finally getting some time to relax. I wasn't able to make SETO 9 :crybaby: due to budget issues but I did make a half day trip to URE a couple weeks ago. Hopefully I'll get this thing out soon.

I'd like to catch up with you sometime art URE. We were out there on Monday. It was a freaking slick mess/good time. Winched a jeep about 200yds into rocky mtn loop heading uphill towards kodak rock before you get to the hill climb, then one built jeep got hung up bad, and one rolled on wolf den. How you do both of those.....don't ask me.

wow that thing is lookin good, how big of spacers are you running on the front? looks wide and mean :fro:

Thanks! I'm running 1" spacers front and back, stock SA-width rear axle. Put them on so the pro crap wheels would clear the caliper, I like the width though. Also running 2.5" b.s. wheels.

I was extremely busy recently but shit is slowing down now, can finally relax. Haven't wheeled much but that should change as the weather is finally cooperating and cooling off. Spent a little time today cleaning up the hoerunner, and had to snap some pics because it hasn't been this clean in a loooooong time.

Before, can kinda see how dirty it was, a few wheeling trips worth of mud coats.

Pressure washed and playing around at work

And finally a decent bath, even wiped the mud off the dash and seats.

I am sorry I missed it. We stayed out way late at a friend's Halloween party, and I over slept.

:sadwave:

Great pictures! Got more?

Man I love your 4runner. Seeing your 4runner was one of the reasons I decided to build up my pickup for wheeling and sell the Jeep haha. Now Ive got a 4runner and pickup. Man its like a disease. Ive seen it a couple times now around Harrisburg running around. It amazes me how well it flexes to be honest. Also are you still running the trail gear classics for springs? My OME lift doesnt flex well and I want to change that this coming summer.

^ thanks! I almost bought that pickup when it was on craigslist a couple years ago.

I'm still running the 4" TG kits. That is the most it has ever flexed thanks to the 250 lbs. of firewood in the back. I found out i need to trim some more for the 37's.
