Alarm gone nuts?!

this problem started up a few weeks ago, when ever i hit the lock button 2X or more on the FOB the horn goes off and doesn't stop until i unlock with the FOB again.

it used to just honk once letting me know that the vehicle was locked when i push it a few times walking away from the vehicle.

what did i break? lol :help:

I probably wont be much help, but I would say check your grounds and maybe look for any corrosion around any of the fuses, not sure what to do after that...

Maybe try unhooking the battery for a bit to reset modules?

Never experienced this on the 4runner, just trying to help:confused:

I had this issue before and it was my panic button getting wedged under the plastic of the key fob. Once I picked it out, it stopped going off randomly.

SAME Problem!!

I am having the same problem right now, literally! Just last week had the Body Control Module replaced - which was all these techs could figure out where exactly where the problem is in it. This week took it into the dealer they could not replicate it. But it seems to have to deal with the temperature sensor or the connection in-between the the temp sensor and the body control module. But I don't have that type of technical expertise to figure this out and really need my 4Runner to get me back and forth and around town.

Good Luck!!
