My dad has got a 92 4runner that hasnt ran in a while. He has been trying to get it going. His problem is that when he put the new battery on the alarm would not stop going off. He said there is a toggle switch in the dash that he thinks is bad. Could this be the prob or is there something else? Thanks for any help!

Why not just replace the toggle switch if he thinks it's bad? Pretty cheap solution if it's that.

Good Luck!

We will try that, but no reason doing that if your not even sure what the problem is. I would like to remove the whole thing and be done with it. Might go that route.

Or test it with an ohm meter - its either on or off when you switch it. If ohms don't move up either way switched (its open) - pull wires and short them together to make it closed. If ohms don't fall to zero (its stuck closed) just pull wire and tape them apart. IF IT HAS A STARTER CUTOUT THIS MAY NOT PERMIT IT TO START. Is it a factory alarm - manuals are available from Fujitsu Fax back. Newer ones don't use a toggle though.

Factory? Try turning it off then with the entry fob or are they lost? If they are dead replace their batteries and reprogram them.

Here's fujitsu 10 faxback number 310-327-9905

you will need a fax machine/number to recieve fax back from them.

First fax will be list of documents available. Select ones you want and fax that to get them in return.

fob = the little black clicker with buttons to unlock/lock the doors also activating the alarm. It fits on your key ring --- like old pocket watch fob.
