Hey, I've got a 99 4runner limited and i have a few mods and a system. I have decided that my toyota factory alarm system will be fine. But to beef it up a bit i am putting in a viper 515R backup alarm. It is a rechargeable alarm that will sound once the battery cables are cut/disconnected. The 515R also contains a soft chirp alarm feature and i was wondering if anyone knows if the chirp will function when i cut the present cables to the factory beeper and hook the new siren/alarm into them.
