Alignment question

I know nothing about alignment - I just got new tires from NTB and they did an alignment but the report did not make sense and figured I might ask you guys. My car never had any issues no pulling, no unusual wear - got 60K out of the the oem dunflops.

The report somehow showed Toyota RV, Van, Tacoma and pre Runner.

Please let me know what you think.

Thanks,

I had them redo it and all looks good except I am not sure if it matters or not SI angle seems to be lower than spec and they said they have no way of adjusting that without throwing it out of alignment. What do you guys think?

Thanks,

The left side is perfect. The right side could use a bit less negative camber, should be even with the left side. Dont worry too much about sai. Fixing the camber would get the sai closer.

Acidmeld thank you - I see what you mean but since it's still within spec would it cause any issue?

If these numbers are not good can you please tell me what numbers I should be aiming for?

Thanks,

You want dead center of spec.
Caster 3.4
Camber -0.2
Toe 0.05

They didn't do a bad job and for most people what you have would be good. I do my own alignments, so I spend a lot of extra time to get it perfect.

Instead of starting a new thread, can someone check my alignment specs?

I might have to get another alignment cause it still pulls to the right a little.

tluu,

Yours looks good. I personally would rather see caster to the higher end of the spec, but you are ok. Pulling to the right is probably from road crown or the tires. Switch your front tires and see if that fixes the pull. Your caster will not cause a pull to the right.

road crown? as in the shape of the road?

Yep, most roads are built with a slight arch to allow water to run off.

Caster can cause a pull if the difference is significant, however 0.2 is not enough to do it. I'd be inclined to agree that tire pull is more likely. You would be better of with more caster. Caster is the biggest controller of straight line stability. The more caster the less bumps affect the pull of the truck.

It was already pulling to the right before my alignment(which is why i got it in the first place). Should i get another alignment and max out the caster? The pulling is on all roads and speeds i drive on.

The only reason you would need another alignment were if the number on your print out were not correct that can happen from a machine that is not properly calibrated, but the chances of that are pretty slim. Most likely the alignment is good. It is something else that is causing your pull and the chances are it is the tires.
