Alignment

Hey everyone, since my accident, I replaced my UCAs with Total Chaos, but to adjust my Kings so that my ride height up front isn't raked (so that the Kings are even with the rear Superflex coils), it looks like my camber will be around a whole degree positive. Anyone have any advice/ similar experiences? Thanks.

IMO you will want a small amount of rake when empty. At least 1/2 to 1". So when you load up your not sagging.

Also lifting the front that high is not good for many different reasons that I will not get into now. 2.5" front lift is ideal with 3" being the max.

Either way you should beable to have a shop align that camber out unless your coils are cranked over 3" which they might be to level out with superflex coils.

If you're not too far from this place, Fast Lane Import Auto, you may want to give them a try. They did my last alignment almost 2 years ago and got everything in factory range (except my castor but that was intentional on my part for tire clearance). I was surprised that they actually had experience with SPC UCA but they didn't have to mess with mine because I already had it adjusted where I wanted it. I plan on going back soon because I just got new tires and need another alignment. They were recommended to me by ACC Garage who specialize in Land Cruisers and Toyota 4x4s. I've had phone conversations and email exchanges with ACC but no personal experience.

...definitely give yourself at least 1" rake (lower in the front & higher in the rear) to compensate for cargo gear & as JayRolla mentioned, I would advise against anything over 2.5" up front. I initially had my coilovers adjusted to 3" lift up front & periodically lowered them by .1/4" to experiment with ride quality, tire clearance & stance. I now have them set to 2-2.25" of lift because that's were I found the best balance for ride, clearance & stance on my set up. For me, 3" up front wasn't terrible but 2-2.25" rides significantly better.

Alright thanks for the advice. I also have to realize that I'll be running a rear bumper/tire carrier sometime, so I should leave a little more rake.
